Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunna Mushu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunna Mushu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randall Woods! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woods keeps the fight on the outside. Woods changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Woods looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mushu misses with a few strikes there.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mushu.
Mushu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Woods swats him away and circles back towards the center. Woods fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A nice inside leg kick there by Mushu. That's going to slow Woods down. Woods takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Randall Woods has been cut. Mushu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Woods at a distance.
Mushu is looking to slow Woods down with leg kicks. Woods scores with a takedown into Mushu's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Woods tries to free his leg and advance position but Mushu is retaining full guard. Woods is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Woods stops Mushu from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woods wants to control from the top but Mushu keeps moving. Woods trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mushu is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Woods is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Woods working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Mushu preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Mushu is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Woods dives into side control.
Mushu is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Woods has just dragged him back down to the mat. Mushu is working to avoid the ground and pound but Woods connects with a decent elbow. Woods prevents Mushu from escaping the position. Woods throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Mushu is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Woods asserts his dominance and retains side control. Woods has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Crunch! Mushu slams his shin into Woods's torso. Woods ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mushu thows a left - swing and a miss! Mushu throws a sloppy head kick and Woods counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Woods paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A head kick misses from Mushu. Woods goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Woods scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Mushu tries to keep at a distance but Woods has taken the fight into the clinch. Woods lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mushu backwards. Woods has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mushu after a bit of a struggle. Woods takes an elbow to the forehead. Woods wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woods digs a right hand underneath Mushu's ribcage. Mushu let out a lung full of air as it connected. Woods breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Woods has managed to clinch.

Mushu tries to clinch but Woods moves away and Woods counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mushu won't be happy with that. Woods lands a few punches from side control. Woods has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mushu pushes Woods away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Woods gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Mushu wants to get back to his feet but Woods is dominant here and he's now got Mushu's back! Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Mushu wants to get back to his feet. Woods just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Woods is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Mushu with him. Mushu is trying to defend but Woods has an arm under the chin now! Mushu grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Randall Woods!
