Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mac Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dinicu Golescu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dinicu Golescu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mac Gruber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dinicu Golescu! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gruber throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gruber throws a left and a right that both miss
and Golescu moves into the clinch. Golescu stalling.
Golescu gets through Gruber's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Gruber is trying to pull guard but Golescu has him pressed against the cage. Golescu lands an uppercut. Golescu tries to land a knee to the head but Gruber blocks with his arms.
Still in the clinch, Golescu scores with a nice short uppercut. Golescu jumps guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Golescu can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gruber throwing strikes from guard but Golescu blocks nicely. Golescu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gruber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gruber is standing up over Golescu. Golescu looks to escape but Gruber dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gruber thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gruber is trying to get an arm triangle but Golescu is defending well. Gruber landing strikes. Golescu is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gruber has just dragged him back down to the mat. Gruber wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Golescu, who protects the arm well. Gruber trying to control the action but Golescu is working from the bottom. Golescu is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Golescu is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Gruber is looking to take a break and control but Golescu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gruber scores with punches from side control. Gruber throws a strike aimed at the side of Golescu's head but Golescu avoids it well. Gruber is really struggling to control Golescu but he's trying to hold on to the position. Gruber is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Golescu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gruber looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gruber is breathing heavily. Golescu is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Gruber is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Golescu has escaped the position, nice work there. Golescu is pushing Gruber's head away, looking to escape. Gruber manages to hold on to the position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Golescu bucks up and tries to throw Gruber off but instead Gruber has got his back! Golescu is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Golescu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Will Gruber go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Gruber.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mac Gruber dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gruber throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gruber throws a right and a left that both miss. Golescu rushes Gruber and presses him up against the cage. Golescu tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Golescu scores with an uppercut up the middle. Golescu throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gruber blocks it with crossed arms. Golescu pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Golescu tries to land a knee to the head but Gruber blocks with his arms.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Golescu gets underhooks to prevent Gruber's takedown attempt.
Gruber tries to pull guard but Golescu won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Golescu jumps guard.
Golescu is looking to stand up but Gruber isn't so interested in that idea. Gruber working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gruber thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Golescu pushes Gruber off and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice cross by Gruber. Golescu takes one to the side of the head.
Gruber throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Golescu holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Golescu successfully pulls guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Golescu wants to get back to his feet but Gruber is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gruber decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Golescu, up you get! Gruber fails to land with a series of punches.
Gruber takes a swing at Golescu's ribcage but misses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gruber misses with a hook. Golescu ducked under it nicely. Gruber swings widly with a right hand
and Golescu counters with a left right combination that sends Gruber crashing to the mat - Golescu wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Gruber out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dinicu Golescu!
