2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bjorn Gunvaldsson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roger Nelson! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson punishes Gunvaldsson's body with a nice straight punch. Roger Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gunvaldsson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nelson was covering up waiting for the punch and Gunvaldsson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Gunvaldsson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nelson's guard. Nelson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Gunvaldsson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nelson's body to avoid the submission. Nelson has instead reached around Gunvaldsson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nelson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
