Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Allen Heaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Kopp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kopp gets a double leg takedown into Heaton's guard.
Kopp works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Kopp trying to pass the guard but Heaton defending well.
Heaton is pressing down on Kopp's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Heaton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kopp pushing down on Heaton's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Kopp wants to pass to mount but Heaton is defending the position.

Kopp looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kopp works his way into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kopp looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Kopp thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kopp is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Heaton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Heaton has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Heaton wants to control from the top but Kopp keeps moving.

Heaton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kopp has eaten all the pies!

Heaton wants to stand but Kopp has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Kopp keeping moving, preventing Heaton from controlling successfully.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kopp looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kopp is looking to cinch up a triangle. Heaton throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kopp's body to avoid the submission. Kopp has instead reached around Heaton's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kopp arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
