Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nosyaj Rram! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Garry Gonggong! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rram moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Rram scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Gonggong is rocked! Rram cracks Gonggong with a big right hand and Gonggong goes down! Gonggong is still in real trouble! Can Rram finish him? This has been an exciting period of action! Gonggong not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rram with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Gonggong working for a triangle but Rram defends it easily.
Gonggong looking for a sweep. Not yet Gonggong, not yet. Gonggong striking off his back but it's not causing Rram any problems. Gonggong seems to have recovered his senses. Rram not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonggong trying to control the position.
Gonggong tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rram is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rram trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Gonggong wants to sweep but no luck. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Gonggong looks winded! Rram missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rram uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gonggong has time to react.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Oh, that's a big right hand from Rram and Gonggong goes tumbling to the canvas! Rram follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard. Rram tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Gonggong is looking to control Rram's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gonggong avoid being mounted? Rram looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Rram decides to return to a standing position. Rram drops Gonggong with a left right combo! Rram follows him down to the ground into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rram cracks Gonggong with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Rram immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Gonggong is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Rram!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nosyaj Rram!
