Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Nigal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franchize Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Nigal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franchize Smith! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nigal but Nigal pushes him off and we're back to square one. Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nigal tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nigal to the ground. Nigal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jack Nigal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franchize Smith. Nigal closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Smith is trying to maintain a safe position but Nigal gets an underhook and turns Smith into the cage. Nigal keeps control of Smith as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Nigal is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Smith successfully pulls guard.
Smith is trying to keep Nigal in close.
Nigal slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nigal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nigal won't allow Smith to sweep him here. Nigal missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nigal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Nigal passes Smith's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Nigal is trying to work for a kimura but Smith is defending well.
Nigal seems to be working for a kimura but Smith defends the submission attempt. Smith is trying to stand up here but Nigal is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Smith has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nigal is working away from the top position though. Nigal with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nigal is trying for a kimura here. Smith looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nigal wins by kimura!
