Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Olaf Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost's entrance music is O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei. A fine choice. James has chosen Tuesday's Gone as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Olaf Frost! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy James! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. James wants to slow Frost down by chopping away at his legs. Frost throws a leg kick that misses. James feints the counter takedown. Frost misses with a head kick.
Frost tries to bum rush James with a series of wild strikes but James uses good footwork to avoid the assault. James takes one on the button. James lands a nice leg kick that just misses Frost's sensitive parts. Frost dips down and scores with a jab to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost just misses with a punch to the body.
James takes a swing at Frost's ribcage but misses. James lands a lovely overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round. James attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. James misses with a few strikes there.

Good exchange - James coming out on top. Frost jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sloppy strikes from James. Those never looked like landing. Frost swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from James lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Frost has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Frost and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Frost feinted there with a counter leg kick. No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Frost moves away. James throws a half hearted mid kick. Frost throws out a leg kick but James moves out of range and Frost only half commits. James throws out a counter right but Frost avoids it with no problem. A leg kick checked by James. James avoids the body shot from Frost.
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Frost is just out of range. Frost throws a wild body kick that James sees coming a mile off. James throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Frost stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. James looks to land a left hand but Frost moved out of range nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost closes the distance looking to clinch and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Frost's guard. James looking to pass the guard. James controlling from the top position. James looking to pass the guard. Frost trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Frost is controlling James's posture. Frost manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. James manages to get himself to full guard.
James is controlling Frost's posture. James looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frost is one step ahead there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. James working for a triangle but Frost defends it easily.

and James counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Frost slips a jab and a cross from James.

Frost on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Frost throws a head kick that misses and James connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Frost walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. James checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. James has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James throws a leg kick but Frost sees it coming and checks it nicely. Frost is looking to counter with head kicks. Frost keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's one minute gone in the round. James misses with a wild body shot. James lands a jab to the nose. Olaf Frost is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Frost takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. James misses with an uppercut
and Frost connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Frost tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but James paws at him with a jab and circles away. Frost uses good head movement to avoid the hook from James. James has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from James there as he acknowledges the shot. Frost jabs James right on the nose. James blinks but takes it well. James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tommy James seems to be getting the better of the standup. James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Frost.
James checks the leg kick. James is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Frost fails with an attempt to clinch.
James misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. James darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Frost pushes James off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James lands a leg kick that knocks Frost off balance momentarily. James throws a nice outside leg kick. James throws a head kick that misses. Frost on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. James ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Frost has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Frost lands with a slapping head kick. Frost misses with a kick to the body and James counters with a one-two to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James throws a series of punches but Frost avoids them all with ease. Frost walks into a straight right hand from James. Frost looks to land a left hand but James moved out of range nicely. Frost tries to work over James's front leg with a kick but James checks it. James throws a leg kick letting Frost counter with a right hand. Frost takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A combination from James does no damage. Frost throws a poor cross that misses
and James counters with a straight right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Frost feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jamess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Frost works the jab nicely. James throws a left and a right that both miss
and Frost counters with a good low kick that James was not able to check. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost throws a leg kick but James sees it coming and moves out of range. Despite the aggression on James's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. James lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Frost fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
James defending well as Frost loads up on a big left hand. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from James. Frost shrugs it off though. Frost tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Frost. James connects with an inside leg kick. James misses the shot to the body. Frost is looking to counter with a body kick. Frost avoids a lazy jab quite easily. As James looks to move away, Frost throws a big counter combo but James just gets out of the way.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Frost checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Frost takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Frost misses with a wild body shot. Frost cracks James with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Frost looks for the body kick but James saw that one coming. James misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Frost.
James lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Frost circles away quickly and effectively. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by James.
James connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Frost misses with an uppercut. James swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. James swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Frost counters with an inside leg kick. A jab from James misses. Frost swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Frost is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. James tries for a takedown but Frost circles away easily and Frost counters with a good low kick that James was not able to check. Tommy James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Frost does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A big right from Frost misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James's corner calls for a 1-2. James obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Frost misses with a wild body shot. And James tries to counter it with a takedown but Frost pushes his down on his head and steps out. Frost thuds his shin into the meat of James's side. James misses with a wild body shot. As James looks to move away, Frost throws a big counter combo but James just gets out of the way. James misses with a left hand and Frost counters with a two punch combo. A swing and a miss from Frost. James swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Frost is looking to counter punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Frost throws an ugly left hook that misses
and James counters with a nice double leg into side control. Frost won't be happy with that. James wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frost, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James misses with an uppercut. Frost saw that one coming. Frost swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

It looked like Frost was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from James. Frost on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Frost slips a jab and a cross from James.

Frost tries to land a body kick and James counters with a left and a right that stings Frost. James throws a right and a left that both miss. Frost dodges the punch combination from James.
Frost was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. James on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. James lands a jab-cross combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Frost sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.

Frost ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Frost is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. James swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Frost swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Frost moves to clinch but James breaks away letting James counter with a right hand. Frost falls off balance throwing a combination
and James counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Frost slips a straight right by James. James throws a jab when Frost was well out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from James. James scoring well with a low kick there.
Frost throws a sloppy head kick and James connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A jab from Frost finds it's way through James's defenses. Frost ducks under a wild hook from James. Frost was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. James moves out of range as Frost strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. James uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Frost. James throws a good cross that connects.

Tommy James dominated that fourth round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

James is in close to Frost's body, working some short punches and elbows. James content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. James lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. James wants to control from the top but Frost keeps moving. James in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. James with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw James working his ground and pound in the gym. James is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. James is working Frost over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. James is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. James keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Frost's head. James trying to control but Frost is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. James scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Frost wants to improve his position but James is controlling well.
Olaf Frost has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. James is stalling here. Frost is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! James seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Frost has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. James tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Frost presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! James wants to hold on but Frost pushes him away. Frost can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as James is looking to escape. James wants to hold on but Frost pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost looking to control but James is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. James tries to hold on but Frost postures up. Frost throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. James is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Frost controlling the position easily from mount. James holds on to Frost around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks. James tries to hold on but Frost postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Olaf Frost. Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
