Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dee Stroya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hendrik Daross! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stroya lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Daross at a distance.
Stroya walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Daross throws a poor cross that misses
and Stroya counters with a leg kick. Hendrik Daross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stroya looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Daross is fending him off so far but Stroya persists. Nope, Daross circles away and we're back to standing. Daross takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nice jab there from Daross. Daross takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Hendrik Daross has been cut. Stroya takes the fight into the clinch. Daross struggles to land a body shot inside as Stroya controls his hands.

A nice right hand lands inside from Stroya. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stroya scores with a shoulder strike. Stroya's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Stroya throws a head kick that misses and Stroya takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Daross throws a right hand that misses
and Stroya counters with a good low kick that Daross was not able to check.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daross goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Stroya takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Stroya seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Daross fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Daross misses with a lunging right hand
and Stroya counters with a leg kick. Stroya keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Daross tries to land a body kick and Stroya counters with a series of strikes that sends Daross to the canvas! Stroya follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Daross is rocked! Stroya loads up on a big left hand. Daross felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Stroya looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Daross can't hide his disappointment, as Stroya celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dee Stroya! A relieved looking Dee Stroya thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
