Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Mancini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Maloney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maloney has chosen the foggy dew as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maloney has managed to clinch.
Maloney jumps into guard, dragging Mancini to the mat.
Mancini trying to control the position from guard on top but Maloney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mancini passes Maloney's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maloney trying to control but Mancini postures up.
Mancini is working for a kimura but Maloney is defending it quite comfortably.
Maloney wants to get back to his feet.
Maloney is trying to maintain the position but Mancini is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maloney tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Mancini tries to pass the half guard into mount. Maloney knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Mancini looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mancini is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maloney sees it coming and defends easily.
Maloney is refusing to be controlled, as Mancini sits in half guard.
Mancini seems to be working for a kimura but Maloney defends the submission attempt.
Maloney is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mancini pulls his head out easily.
Mancini is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mancini thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Maloney's head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Maloney works his way to full guard. Good work.
Mancini trying to control but Maloney is working from the bottom.
Mancini is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Maloney is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Maloney has escaped and now he's on top!
Mancini looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mancini is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Maloney defends well.

Mancini is looking to cinch up a triangle. Maloney throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mancini's body to avoid the submission. Mancini has instead reached around Maloney's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mancini arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
