Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miles Trevino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Funny Bunny! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Trevino darts in looking for a takedown but Bunny gets double underhooks and turns Trevino into the cage. Trevino moves in looking to clinch but Bunny pushes him off. Bunny lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Trevino shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bunny is defending against the submission attempts here by Trevino.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trevino misses with a head shot. Bunny uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trevino stands up and waves to Bunny to follow him. Trevino shoots and misses and Bunny counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bunny. Bunny works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Bunny trying to control the position from guard on top but Trevino is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bunny slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bunny gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trevino bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bunny sneaks out the side door and pushes Trevino away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Trevino shoots and misses and Bunny counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bunny. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miles Trevino. That's going to take a lot out of him. Trevino tries to pull guard but Bunny forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Trevino pulls guard. Trevino throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bunny postures up.
Bunny decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Trevino, up you get! Trevino shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bunny as he avoids it easily. Bunny unleashes a big counter combination but Trevino bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Trevino is breathing heavily. Trevino with a lazy takedown attempt and Bunny counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Horrible takedown attempt by Trevino or perhaps it was just good defense by Bunny, which made it look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trevino shoots in and drives through. Bunny sprawls well. Bunny is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Trevino shoots in but no luck this time. Bunny is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Trevino wants to clinch up but Bunny keeps it at a distance. Bunny tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Trevino doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bunny counters with a one-two to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Funny Bunny dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Trevino shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bunny counters by moving into the clinch. Bunny gets a trip takedown into half guard. Trevino has one foot on Bunny's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trevino gets the takedown into side control. Bunny sneaks out the side door and pushes Trevino away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trevino tries to close the distance and clinch but Bunny swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Trevino is looking to land body kicks. Bunny with the counter takedown but Trevino avoids it easily. Trevino misses with a takedown and Bunny counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Bunny tightens his grip and picks Trevino up, before dumping him to the ground. Trevino manages to land in guard. Trevino will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bunny trying to control but Trevino is working from the bottom. Trevino is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bunny is aware though and is defending well. Bunny gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Bunny is breathing heavily. Trevino shoots for a takedown but Bunny saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miles Trevino. That's going to take a lot out of him. Trevino has his takedown stuffed and Bunny counters with a series of strikes. Trevino will be more careful next time no doubt.

Bunny has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Trevino is on him like a limpet, forcing Bunny back against the cage. Trevino jumps guard but Bunny stands there with Trevino around his waist. Trevino gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bunny wants the takedown. Trevino is fighting it off but Bunny persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Trevino's guard against the cage. Trevino pushes Bunny off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bunny blocks the body kick.

Bunny tries to counter with a clinch but Trevino shakes him off and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bunny gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Trevino is not content to let Bunny control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Funny Bunny comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bunny has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
