Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dillon Allison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dre Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillon Allison has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dillon Allison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dre Carson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Allison looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Carson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Carson stands up.

Allison shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carson's guard.

Carson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Allison uses it to pass to side control.
Carson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Carson struggling a bit here.
Carson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
You can see the frustration on Carson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Allison tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Allison wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carson, who protects the arm well.
Allison is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Carson's shoulder. That is not cool.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carson is trying to buck Allison off.
Carson tries to buck Allison off but Allison is having none of it.

Allison is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Carson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Carson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Allison asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Allison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carson sprawls well. Carson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Allison gets slowly back to his feet.
Allison shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carson but Carson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Allison shoots in but Carson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dillon Allison. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Allison shoots in but no luck this time.
Allison is breathing heavily.
Allison takes a kick to the side of the head.
Carson misses with a few strikes there.
It appears Allison was looking to counter with a kick there.

Allison closes the distance and clinches up with Carson, looking for a takedown. Allison pushes Carson against the cage but Carson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Carson or perhaps it was just good defense by Allison, which made it look bad.
Allison half committed to a counter leg kick.
Carson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Allison appears to be looking for a big counter.
Carson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Carson instigates a clinch.

Carson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A jab from Carson finds it's way through Allison's defenses.
Carson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dre Carson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Carson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Allison is fending him off so far but Carson persists. Nope, Allison circles away and we're back to standing.

Allison feints and as Carson raises his hands in defense, Allison changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Carson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Allison defends well.

Allison decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carson, up you get!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allison fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Carson throws a head kick but Allison moves out of range.
Allison appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Allison slaps away a takedown attempt from Carson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dillon Allison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Allison darts in and clinches Carson up against the cage.
Carson is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Allison changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Carson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dillon Allison. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Allison shoots in for a takedown but Carson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Carson darts in looking for a takedown but Allison gets double underhooks and turns Carson into the cage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Carson is defended easily by Allison.

Carson wants to control from the top but Allison keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Allison shoots in looking for a takedown but Carson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Allison's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Carson throws a series of punches but Allison avoids them all with ease.
Allison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Carson drives through with a takedown into guard.
Carson wants to stand but Allison has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Carson gets to his feet. Allison looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Carson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Allison counters with a nice body shot.

Carson moves into the clinch.
Carson fails to pull guard.
Carson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Allison pulls his leg out and moves away.
Carson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Allison fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Carson is trying to counter with his kicks.
Allison keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Carson closes the distance and pushes Allison back into the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Allison breaks from the clinch.
Crunch! Carson slams his shin into Allison's torso.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dre Carson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Carson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Carson.
Nice takedown defense from Carson. No joy for Allison on that attempt.
Carson is looking for the big counter here.
Allison dives in for a single leg takedown but Carson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Allison lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Carson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allison gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Carson controls Allison momentarily but Allison frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allison gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Carson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Allison can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Allison is working for a kimura but Carson is defending it quite comfortably.

Carson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Allison pulls his head out easily.
Carson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Allison is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Allison is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Allison passes into side control, despite Carson's attempt to control the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dre Carson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Carson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
