Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cooper Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Bush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cooper Lawson! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bush swings for the body but Lawson moves out of range.
Bush shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lawson defends it nicely. Bush throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lawson was covering up waiting for the punch and Bush finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bush postures up.
Bush looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bush won't allow Lawson to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bush stopping the sweep attempt from Lawson. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bush stops Lawson from standing up. Bush stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lawson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bush fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lawson lands with a shot to the body. Lawson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bush feints and as Lawson raises his hands in defense, Bush changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bush is standing up over Lawson. Lawson looks to escape but Bush dives into side control.
Lawson can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bush is trying to get an arm triangle but Lawson is defending well. Bush working away. Lawson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bush working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lawson is trying to control Bush's posture but Bush avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawson tries to buck Bush off but Bush is having none of it. Lawson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bush off and has taken his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lawson avoiding Bush 's attempts to control his hands. Bush tries to break free.

A close round but Cooper Lawson will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nice sprawl there from Lawson as Bush shoots in. Lawson tests Bush's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Billy Bush has been cut. Bush slips a jab and a cross from Lawson.
Bush looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Billy Bush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Lawson.
Bush bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lawson is trying to improve his position. Bush working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lawson is looking for a sweep. Lawson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lawson wants to get back to his feet but Bush drags him back down. Lawson tries to buck Bush off but Bush is having none of it. Bush goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lawson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bush's guard! Nice work there by Lawson! Bush working for submissions but it's allowed Lawson to get to half guard.

Lawson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bush does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bush is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lawson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lawson's back! Bush doesn't have the hooks in and Lawson manages to turn into his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bush holds on and takes a little breather. Lawson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bush has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lawson has managed to get both his arms back between Bush's legs - danger averted. Bush looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bush wants to stand and escape but Lawson is having none of it. Lawson is looking to work some ground and pound but Bush has wrist control. Lawson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lawson trying to control the position from guard on top but Bush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lawson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lawson wants to control from the top but Bush keeps moving. Lawson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bush is keeping the position for now. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lawson keeps the fight on the outside. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A swing and a miss from Lawson. A slow jab from Lawson misses its intended target. Lawson slaps away a takedown attempt from Bush, before circling back to the center of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cooper Lawson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Billy Bush's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Lawson works his way back into a safe position though. Lawson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bush is keeping the position for now. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bush slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Lawson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bush works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lawson throwing strikes from guard but Bush blocks nicely. Bush is looking to cinch up a triangle. Lawson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bush's body to avoid the submission. Bush has instead reached around Lawson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bush arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Billy Bush! Our winner, Billy Bush, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
