Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Aronoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aronoff comes into the arena with Here Comes the Pain by Slayer blaring out of the sound system. Paul Bear will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Bear! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aronoff has managed to clinch.
Aronoff jumps guard and drags Bear to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Bear postures up and lands a big shot to Aronoff's brow. Aronoff looking for a guillotine here but Bear defends easily.
Bear in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Aronoff keeping full guard, as Bear tries to pass. Bear throwing strikes but missing. Aronoff utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Aronoff throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Bear trying to control but Aronoff is working from the bottom. Bear postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Bear postures up in Aronoff's guard and throws a big left but Aronoff blocks it. Aronoff might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Aronoff trying to keep a closed guard but Bear is proving a slippery customer.
Aronoff lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bear! Bear looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear trying to control the hands but Aronoff won't let him. Aronoff is looking for the choke from the back position but Bear is controlling his hands well. Bear is covering up but some of the strikes from Aronoff are getting through and doing damage.

Bear loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Aronoff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bear throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aronoff works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bear missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bear is working Aronoff over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Bear is in close to Aronoff's body, working some short punches and elbows. Aronoff escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bear gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Aronoff trying to control the position.
Bear must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Aronoff has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bear can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bear missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Aronoff manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bear manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Bear manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Aronoff that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bear pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Bear in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aronoff is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Aronoff is working hard here to advance position. Bear with shots to the head and body - Aronoff looks very uncomfortable down there. Bear with the ground and pound from mount. Aronoff is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bear unloading with bombs! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bear lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Aronoff hang on? Bear in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Aronoff is rocked! Bear looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Aronoff covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
