Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Silvio Crespo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Dmx Intro as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Silvio Crespo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Jones!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crespo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Crespo throws a one two combo.
Decent striking displayed by Crespo there.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Crespo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Crespo misses with a straight right.
Crespo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Crespo jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Crespo tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crespo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jones dives in for a single leg takedown but Crespo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Crespo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jones moves out of range of the strikes.
Jones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crespo pinned against the cage. Crespo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A right hook to the body lands for Crespo.
Crespo pushes Jones back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Jones drops down looking for an ankle pick but Crespo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Crespo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.
Jones tries to counter by closing the distance.
Crespo throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.

and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Crespo's guard.
Crespo looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Crespo wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Crespo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Crespo missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jones changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Crespo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Crespo, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Crespo against the cage but Crespo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones drags the fight down to the ground.
Crespo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
Crespo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around?

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Crespo pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Crespo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Jones felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.
Crespo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Jones pushes Crespo off looking to stand but Crespo dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Crespo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Crespo throws out the jab.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crespo's waist but Crespo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.

Jones has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jones there as he acknowledges the shot.
Crespo is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Crespo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Jones needs to keep his hands up - Crespo had a free shot at his head there.
Jones darts in looking for a takedown but Crespo gets double underhooks and turns Jones into the cage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Crespo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Crespo throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Crespo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Crespo is holding on for dear life with his legs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Crespo sees it coming and defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Crespo dips a shoulder and cracks Jones with a mighty uppercut! Jones falls back against the cage and Crespo unloads with a barrage of strikes! Jones is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Crespo screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Silvio Crespo!
