Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 23 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shunsui Kyoraku!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peltola swings widly with a right hand
and Kyoraku counters with a straight right hand.
Peltola looks to throw the jab but Kyoraku is out of range.
Kyoraku is looking to chop away at Peltola's legs.
Good work by Peltola as he checks the leg kick.
Peltola scores with a jab to the jaw.
Kyoraku slips under a jab.
Peltola misses with an uppercut. Kyoraku saw that one coming.
Kyoraku ducks under a wild hook from Peltola.
Peltola on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Peltola rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kyoraku makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Kyoraku swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Peltola.
Peltola just misses with a punch to the body.
Kyoraku fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Peltola is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Kyoraku's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Kyoraku looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Peltola fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kyoraku manages to avoid it.
Peltola throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Peltola throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Peltola ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kyoraku throws a leg kick but Peltola sees it coming and moves out of range.
Peltola misses with a body shot.
Kyoraku appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Peltola throws a lazy right hand but Kyoraku sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kyoraku throws a hook but Peltola avoids it easily.
The crowd cheers as Kyoraku lands an impressive looking overhand right. Peltola doesn't seem phased though.


It looks like Atte Peltola has been cut.
Peltola takes one to the side of the head.
Kyoraku has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
The fighters circle momentarily. Peltola darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Peltola. Kyoraku does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kyoraku bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Peltola's head backwards.
Peltola misses with a wild body shot.
Peltola throws a hook but Kyoraku avoids it easily.
Peltola misses the shot to the body.
Peltola swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kyoraku goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Peltola is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kyoraku.
Peltola throws an off balance right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kyoraku scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Peltola needs to keep his hands up - Kyoraku had a free shot at his head there.
Peltola throws the left hand but Kyoraku avoids the punch easily.
A cross from Kyoraku lands.
Peltola looks to score with a jab to the body but Kyoraku is just out of range.
Kyoraku throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Peltola's head.
Peltola throws a lazy uppercut
and Kyoraku counters with a lovely straight right hand!


Peltola is rocked!
Kyoraku is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Peltola had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Peltola swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Oh Peltola is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kyoraku pivots, looking for a leg kick but Peltola is out of range and Kyoraku settles back down.
Peltola seems to have got his legs back now.
Kyoraku circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Peltola drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Kyoraku follows Peltola to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shunsui Kyoraku!
After winning the bout, Shunsui Kyoraku thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
