Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aidan Sumerod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ritchie Blackmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blackmore has chosen 16th century greensleeves as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aidan Sumerod! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ritchie Blackmore! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sumerod wants to clinch up but Blackmore keeps it at a distance. Sumerod with a lazy takedown attempt and Blackmore counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Blackmore throws a series of punches but Sumerod moves out of range. Sumerod tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Blackmore throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A nice leg kick lands there from Blackmore. Blackmore throws a shot from downtown. Sumerod moves away and avoids it. Sumerod went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Blackmore feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sumerods jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! No luck with that takedown attempt from Sumerod. Blackmore scores with a jab to the jaw. Sumerod fails in his attempt to clinch. A little jabbing left from Blackmore on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Sumerod tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Blackmore manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sumerod definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Sumerod will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aidan Sumerod. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sumerod keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sumerod shoots in looking for a takedown but Blackmore manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sumerod's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Aidan Sumerod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good leg kick by Blackmore there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackmore lands a two punch combo.
Sumerod is looking to clinch. Sumerod is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Blackmore.
Sumerod is rocked! Sumerod goes for a double leg but Blackmore avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Blackmore continues to drive forward. Sumerod tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blackmore paws at him with a jab and circles away. Blackmore throws a looping overhand right but Sumerod ducks down to avoid it. Blackmore misses the shot to the body. Sumerod went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Sumerod is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Blackmore lands an overhand right. It's a brutal combination of punches from Blackmore! Sumerod is backing up but he can't get away as Blackmore lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Sumerod and ends the fight. Great knockout.
