Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Escrima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramos comes to the cage accompanied by Sepultura - Nomad. Escrima comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bamboleo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Miguel Escrima will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escrima tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ramos is able to avoid easily.
Ramos jabs Escrima right on the nose. Escrima blinks but takes it well.
Ramos goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Escrima misses with the combination.
Escrima walks into a jab.
Ramos has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Escrima.
Escrima takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ramos looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Escrima throws out a counter right but Ramos avoids it with no problem.
Ramos throws a push kick but Escrima slaps the foot to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ramos misses the body punch
and Escrima counters with a nice body shot.
Ramos feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Escrima's calf.
An inside leg kick lands from Escrima.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Escrima fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Ramos shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ramos on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Escrima throws a shot to the body.
Escrima buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Escrima fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ramos.
Ramos pivots, looking for a leg kick but Escrima is out of range and Ramos settles back down.
Escrima now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Ramos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Escrima circles away quickly and effectively.
Escrima misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ramos.
Escrima misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ramos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ramos explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Ramos has been working on his balance at Wolf Training Lair, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Escrima.
Ramos tries to throw a body punch but Escrima avoids it by throwing Ramos back against the cage.

Escrima misses with a hook from the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Escrima creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Ramos blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Still in the clinch, Escrima scores with a nice short uppercut.
Ramos misses with a hook to the ribs.
Escrima lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Escrima lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ramos or not.
Ramos swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Escrima swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ramos.
Ramos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Escrima manages to avoid it.
Escrima now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Ramos throws a leg kick
and Escrima counters with a nice uppercut.
Ramos has Escrima up against the cage in a clinch.
Ramos has Escrima pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Escrima manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Escrima scores with a shot to the side of Ramos's head.

Ramos throws out a loose jab but Escrima uses good head movement to avoid it.
Escrima cracks Ramos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Escrima is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ramos had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
A slow jab from Ramos misses its intended target.
Ramos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Escrima counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ramos thinking.
Escrima drops Ramos with a beautiful combination! Ramos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Escrima is looking for the KO!
Ramos is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Escrima darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Ramos's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Escrima before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Miguel Escrima!
