Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Russell Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kingston Pauletty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Russell Jones ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kingston Pauletty! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target. Pauletty doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. A looping hook to the body misses from Pauletty. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet. Pauletty swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones . Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pauletty manages to avoid it. Jones takes a swing at Pauletty's ribcage but misses. Pauletty tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Pauletty. Pauletty rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pauletty misses with a hook
and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pauletty gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Pauletty lands a right hand. A head punch blocked on the inside by Jones . A hook to the body from Jones .

Pauletty can't find room to land a body shot as Jones controls the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pauletty lands with a short shot to the head. Pauletty blocks a body shot from Jones . A head punch blocked on the inside by Pauletty. Pauletty scores with a shoulder strike. Pauletty digs a right hand into Jones 's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jones 's gas tank. Jones tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Jones tries to circle away but Pauletty has him pinned against the cage. Pauletty blocks an uppercut.
Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Jones misses with a hook from the clinch. Pauletty misses with some punches.
Pauletty cracks Jones with a nice body shot. Pauletty makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A quick uppercut on the inside from Pauletty. A nice left hand lands by Pauletty.
Jones jumps guard and drags Pauletty to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Pauletty sitting in guard here, content to control. Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pauletty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones is looking for a triangle but Pauletty pushes his legs off easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pauletty content to stall in guard here. Pauletty postures up.
Jones has his foot on Pauletty's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pauletty works his way back into a safe position though. Pauletty content to stall in guard here. Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pauletty looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Pauletty must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pauletty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pauletty manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones is looking for a triangle but Pauletty pushes his legs off easily.
Pauletty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pauletty is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jones is looking for a triangle but Pauletty pushes his legs off easily.
Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jones keeping full guard, as Pauletty tries to pass. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pauletty is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Jones looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pauletty is defending well. Jones quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pauletty has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jones celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
