Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mika Kauranen! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parks looking to score a takedown here. Kauranen is defending well but Parks drives through and ends up in Kauranen's guard. Parks sitting in guard, not really doing much. Parks wants to stand but Kauranen has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Parks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kauranen isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Parks stacks Kauranen on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Parks! Parks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Parks misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parks working the head and body with strikes. Kauranen is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Parks postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Parks decides to stand back up. Parks steps back and let's Kauranen get back to his feet. Parks looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kauranen looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kauranen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Parks pulls his head out easily. Parks not landing any meaningful shots this time. Parks controlling the action here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Parks stands up and waves to Kauranen to follow him. A momentary lapse in concentration from Kauranen enables Parks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kauranen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Parks gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Parks moves into range and clinches up with Kauranen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Parks is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Parks is sitting in close to Kauranen's body. Kauranen has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Parks is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Parks is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kauranen.
