Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scotty Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Jones acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scotty Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Jones!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Stewart sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jones has Stewart up against the cage in a clinch.
Stewart is trying to break the clinch but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Jones is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stewart gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stewart avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Scotty Stewart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Jones.
Jones has Stewart pressed against the cage, preventing Stewart from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Stewart looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones is trying to drag Stewart to the mat but Stewart just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Stewart is trying to break free.

Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stewart avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jones tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Stewart avoids it.

Stewart's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Stewart rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Jones pulls Stewart into guard.
Stewart wants to stand but Jones is controlling his posture from full guard.
Stewart with a nice head shot there.
Stewart content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Stewart stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Stewart sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jones throws a series of punches but Stewart moves out of range.
Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stewart's waist but Stewart gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stewart defends well and Jones ends up having to push Stewart into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jones looks winded!
Stewart misses with a head kick.

Stewart clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.
Stewart misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jones.
Jones avoids the elbow strike from Stewart, against the cage.

Stewart has hold of one of Jones's legs. Jones is fighting the takedown attempt but Stewart gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stewart works over Jones with some ground and pound from guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stewart trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard.
Stewart could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Stewart postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stewart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stewart is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Stewart postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Stewart makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Stewart landing with the ground and pound.
Stewart keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jones's head.
Stewart lands a couple of elbows.

Jones working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Stewart has passed into half guard!
Stewart has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stewart stands up out of the half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Stewart fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.

Jones is fighting off a takedown attempt but Stewart is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jones to the mat. Jones regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Stewart stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Stewart has taken the fight to the clinch.

Stewart turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stewart working the body and head with strikes.

Stewart stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Stewart clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scotty Stewart dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Stewart darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Stewart as Jones tries to tie him up.
The referee is keeping an eye on Stewart - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones displaying some good clinch control by pressing Stewart up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stewart walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Stewart moves out of range as Jones throws a body kick.

Jones moves into the clinch successfully.
Jones lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Stewart prevents a takedown attempt there.
Scotty Stewart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Jones.
Jones misses with a knee to the head.

Jones successfully pulls guard.
Jones is breathing heavily.

Stewart gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stewart sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Stewart.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Stewart escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stewart as he jumps to the side.
Stewart tries to land a body kick
and Jones counters with a low kick, right behind Stewart 's knee.

Stewart darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.
Jones dodges an elbow strike from Stewart.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Jones tries for a takedown but Stewart manages to get underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Stewart is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually Stewart manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jones has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Stewart has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Stewart has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Stewart is trying to break free.

Jones is fighting off a takedown attempt but Stewart is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jones to the mat. Jones regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Stewart gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Stewart drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jones tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stewart lands punches and elbows.
Stewart punches Jones on the ear.
Stewart is landing with strikes. Jones can't take much more of this.
Stewart has Jones flattened out and is raining down punches.
Jones just trying to survive but Stewart is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Stewart is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Stewart has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Jones is defending well but eventually Stewart manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Jones has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Scotty Stewart!
