Virtanen has chosen Maamme Laulu as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Theodorou fails to land the takedown.
Virtanen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Virtanen loads up on a big right hand but Theodorou slips the punch.
Theodorou appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Theodorou has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Canadian Top Team in the buildup to the fight.
Virtanen connects with a body shot.

Virtanen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Theodorou manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Theodorou bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Virtanen's guard.

Virtanen is looking for a triangle but Theodorou pushes his legs off easily.

Virtanen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Theodorou escapes and throws Virtanen's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Virtanen is looking to reverse the position.
Virtanen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Theodorou's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Theodorou lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Theodorou looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Virtanen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Virtanen gets back to full guard.

Virtanen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Theodorou defends it easily.

A very excited looking Jake Theodorou rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
