Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nofurgay Jesus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cyril Westlake! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jesus moves out of range as Westlake strikes. An attempted straight right counter from Jesus misses the target. Jesus looks to land a combination but Westlake avoids it well. Jesus is looking to clinch. Jesus tries to clinch there but Westlake circles away.
Westlake jabbing away but nothing is landing. Westlake misses with a straight right. Jesus fails with the takedown and Westlake counters with a straight right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jesus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Westlake as he jumps to the side. Westlake now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Westlake clobbers Jesus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's one minute gone in the round. Westlake misses with a body shot.
Westlake throws a right and a left that Jesus avoids nicely. Westlake jabbing away but nothing is landing. A little feinted left hand from Jesus on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Westlake misses with a hook. Jesus ducked under it nicely. Jesus uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Westlake. Westlake takes a body punch but keeps moving. Jesus dives in for a single leg takedown but Westlake sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nofurgay Jesus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jesus misses the shot to the body. Jesus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Westlake manages to avoid it. Westlake ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Jesus fails to land the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Westlake circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jesus to the canvas! Jesus doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Westlake keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cyril Westlake! Our winner, Cyril Westlake, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. In defeat, Nofurgay Jesus stepped up to the mic, saying 'I so sorry, so sorry, I so sorry I lost, So sorry. Sorry guys.'.
