Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, DJ Jordan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, George Glass! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Jordan misses. Glass gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jordan counters with a lovely shot to the body. Glass throws a series of punches but Jordan avoids them all with ease. Glass misses with a hook. Glass fails with the takedown and Jordan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Glass throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jordan on the side of the head. Glass throws a right and a left that Jordan avoids nicely. Jordan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jordan lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
George Glass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Jordan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Jordan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Glass swings widly with a right hand
and Jordan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jordan throws a body shot but no joy. Glass fails miserably with a takedown attempt. DJ Jordan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Glass. Some wild striking there from Glass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jordan misses the jab. Glass takes a shot right to the bread basket. Glass walks straight into a right hand from Jordan - that's dropped him! Jordan jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Glass from any more punishment! Glass complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). DJ Jordan! DJ Jordan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
