The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suckerpunch fails to land with a series of punches.
And Striker counters with a quick kick to the body but Suckerpunch blocks it.
Suckerpunch takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Marvin Striker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Striker closes the distance but Suckerpunch moves to the side
and Suckerpunch counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Striker misses with a few strikes there.
Striker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Striker moves to clinch but Suckerpunch breaks away
and Suckerpunch counters with a two punch combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circle momentarily. Striker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Suckerpunch counters with a series of strikes. Striker will be more careful next time no doubt.

Striker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Suckerpunch swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Suckerpunch struggles to land a body shot inside as Striker controls his hands.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Suckerpunch creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Suckerpunch digs a right hand into Striker's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Striker's gas tank.
Striker is breathing heavily.
Suckerpunch works on Striker's body with a couple of short punches.

Suckerpunch is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Striker is defending well for now.

Ricki Suckerpunch spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
