Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kermit Earlandson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pereira kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Game of Thrones. Earlandson has chosen the theme from titanic as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

26 - 36 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kermit Earlandson! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Earlandson jabs Pereira to the body, keeping him at a distance. Pereira pivots, looking for a leg kick but Earlandson is out of range and Pereira settles back down. Earlandson darts in looking for a takedown but Pereira gets double underhooks and turns Earlandson into the cage. A little feinted left hand from Pereira on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Earlandson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Earlandson is trying to get an arm triangle but Pereira is defending well. Pereira wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pereira can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Earlandson controls the pace. Earlandson stops Pereira from standing up. Earlandson wants to pass the guard but Pereira is keeping the position. Pereira has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Earlandson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. A short right hand to the side of the head by Pereira. Earlandson takes a shot to the head. Pereira misses with a shot to the kidneys.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Miguel Pereira. Earlandson shoots in but no luck this time. Earlandson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pereira to the ground. Earlandson is now in Pereira's guard. Earlandson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pereira swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pereira is looking to stand up but Earlandson isn't so interested in that idea. Pereira trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Kermit Earlandson has got the better of the ground game so far.

Earlandson is rocked! Earlandson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Earlandson with a lazy takedown attempt and Pereira counters with a crisp right hand that drops Earlandson! Pereira lets Earlandson back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Earlandson is still on wobbly legs! Can Pereira finish him? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pereira stuffs the takedown. Pereira drops Earlandson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Earlandson looks back up at him and smiles so Pereira waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Earlandson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pereira but Pereira pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pereira is looking to counter punch. Pereira lands with a nice body punch. Earlandson swings around for an armbar but Pereira sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Earlandson's guard.
