Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Vasleyiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Chernokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Chernokov's choice of entrance music: Disaster strikes - Mushroom cloud. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dimitri Vasleyiev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexei Chernokov! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chernokov pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Vasleyiev wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Vasleyiev ducks under a wild hook from Chernokov. We've been told by Vasleyiev's head coaches at The Studio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Vasleyiev changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Vasleyiev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chernokov. Chernokov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vasleyiev manages to avoid it. Chernokov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Chernokov trying to pass the guard but Vasleyiev defending well. Chernokov thows a huge punch but Vasleyiev dodges it nicely.
Chernokov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Chernokov is looking to advance position but Vasleyiev won't allow it. Chernokov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vasleyiev's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasleyiev keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Chernokov lands strikes from half guard. Vasleyiev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chernokov. Chernokov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Chernokov working over Vasleyiev with some ground and pound. Vasleyiev looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Vasleyiev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chernokov. Chernokov works his way into full mount! Vasleyiev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chernokov on the ground. Chernokov throwing strikes here but Vasleyiev is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasleyiev holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Chernokov tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chernokov thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Chernokov lands a big elbow. Chernokov raining down hammerfists from mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chernokov lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasleyiev is bucking up trying to escape but Chernokov cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Vasleyiev is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Chernokov looking to ground and pound but Vasleyiev is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vasleyiev is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chernokov unloading with bombs! Chernokov landing punches.
Vasleyiev is rocked! Chernokov drops a big elbow. That's hurt Vasleyiev! More shots from Chernokov and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
