Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denver Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mauricio Rua will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Denver Morris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mauricio Rua! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Rua. As Rua looks to move away, Morris throws a big counter combo but Rua just gets out of the way. Rua fails to land with a series of punches.
Rua misses with a shot to the body and Morris counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Rua fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Morris, pushing him back against the cage. Morris manages to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rua drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Morris manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rua has Morris in his guard.
Morris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Morris's corner is telling him to maintain position. Morris looking to pass the guard. Morris is looking to stand up but Rua won't let him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rua looking for a guillotine here but Morris defends easily.
Morris avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morris showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Morris stands up from guard. Let's bang! Rua shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Morris pinned against the cage. Morris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rua forces Morris back against the cage and clinches. Morris has Rua pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Morris pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Rua tumbling to the mat - Morris dives into Rua's guard. Rua is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rua looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rua is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Morris defends well. Morris seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Morris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Morris would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Morris has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rua to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Morris is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rua pulls down on the head and he's put Morris to sleep! This one is all over!
