Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kimbo Spice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spice kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Grayson Sanders – Beautiful Crime . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kimbo Spice! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tito Gomez! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomez misses with a double jab
and Spice counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Spice. Spice won't allow Gomez to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gomez wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Spice trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gomez looking for a sweep. Not yet Gomez, not yet. Spice passes into half guard. Spice is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gomez wants to control but Spice is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spice tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gomez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Spice has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Spice with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Spice avoids the attempt from Gomez to control. Gomez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spice wants to hit a switch here but Gomez passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Spice there! Gomez has hold of Spice's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Spice manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gomez thowing shots but they're missing. Spice's coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Gomez gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! A telegraphed right hand from Gomez misses the target. Gomez tries to close the distance and clinch but Spice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Spice throws a right hand that Gomez ducks under and follows up with a left that Gomez also avoids with ease. Gomez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gomez misses with a straight right. Spice attempts a counter takedown but Gomez avoids it well and moves away. A punch combination from Gomez misses. Tito Gomez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gomez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Gomez is predictable there and Spice counters with a shoot takedown. Gomez fights it but they end up in guard. Spice works a leg free and moves into half guard. Gomez tries to get to full guard but Spice has control of the leg. Spice is looking for a kimura here.
Spice wants to pass to mount but Gomez is defending the position. Gomez tries to kick Spice off but Spice keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gomez felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Gomez is looking to get back to is feet but Spice passes into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spice tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Spice thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Spice working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gomez is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kimbo Spice dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Spice tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gomez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spice somewhat. Spice moves away from the strike by Gomez. Spice shoots for a double leg takedown but Gomez sprawls well. He's pushed Spice's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Gomez lands a jab to the nose. A looping hook to the body misses from Gomez. Spice does a little dance to reset his feet. Gomez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Spice. That did some damage! A slow jab from Gomez misses its intended target. Spice slips a jab and a cross from Gomez.
Gomez throws a leg kick but Spice sees it coming and checks it nicely. Spice half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gomez throws a nice looking combination but Spice bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Spice tries to counter with a takedown but Gomez is quick to defend against it. Spice closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Gomez misses with a wild combination.

Gomez misses with a straight left. Gomez displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Spice avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gomez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gomez scores with a one two! Spice had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Gomez leaves Spice with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimbo Spice. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spice dodges the punch combination from Gomez.
Gomez throws a body shot but no joy. Spice drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gomez sprawls and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gomez throws a series of punches but Spice moves out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spice throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gomez's waist but Gomez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Spice off to one side. Spice shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gomez napping and manages to drive through into side control! Spice is trying to get an arm triangle but Gomez is defending well. Gomez tries to bench press Spice off him but Spice keeps the position. Gomez wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Spice has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Gomez's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Gomez is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Spice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kimbo Spice! After the fight, Kimbo Spice was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. In defeat, Tito Gomez stepped up to the mic, saying 'I am just initiating my career. Remember my name! I will be a top fighter in the near future!'.
