Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, James Dean Rockefeller!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maake throws a hook but Rockefeller avoids it easily.
A big right from Maake misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rockefeller has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Rockefeller scores with a push kick.
Rockefeller lunges at Maake with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Maake's hand.
Maake misses with an uppercut.
Maake jabs at Rockefeller's body.
Maake throws a hook to the side of Rockefeller's head but Rockefeller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rockefeller drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Maake defends it well.

Maake lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Maake.

That was a close round but I would say that Cedric Maake will probably get the nod.

and Maake counters with a three punch combo that has Rockefeller backing up. Rockefeller nods at Maake to acknowledge the strikes.

Rockefeller displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maake throws out the jab.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Maake, as that shot connected.

Rockefeller shoots for a takedown but Maake saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Maake feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Rockefeller closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rockefeller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

James Dean Rockefeller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rockefeller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
