Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Staal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Jerome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerome has chosen Dance with the Devil-Immortal Technique as his entrance music. Al Jerome will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Staal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Al Jerome! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jerome throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Staal keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Jerome misses with an uppercut. Staal saw that one coming. Jerome fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Staal jabbing away but nothing is landing. Nice takedown defense from Staal. No joy for Jerome on that attempt. Jerome just misses with a punch to the body.
A leg kick checked by Staal. Staal scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Staal lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jerome missing with punches from the bottom.
Jerome blocking the ground and pound attempt from Staal. Staal tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jerome knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jerome trying to control but Staal postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Staal uses his free foot to push down on Jerome's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jerome. Staal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jerome looks a forlorn figure.
Jerome is working to get back to half guard.
Jerome tries to hold on but Staal postures up. Staal fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Staal will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Staal tries to control but Jerome wriggling away. Jerome takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jerome is wriggling around trying to escape.
Staal scoring with strikes but Jerome is staying in there. Staal landing strikes, looking to finish! This has been an exciting period of action! Staal looking to control but Jerome is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jerome in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Jerome is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Staal connects with a bit shot that sees Jerome covering up! More strikes from Staal and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Staal is our winner by TKO!
