Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Sharpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George I Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George I Joe told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Sharpe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George I Joe! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Joe catches Sharpe right on the button with a cross. Joe throws a front kick aimed at Sharpe's knee but Sharpe avoids it well. Joe wants to land a leg kick but Sharpe is out of range. Sharpe tries to counter by clinching up but Joe breaks away and moves out of range. Sharpe decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Sharpe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Joe wants to improve his position but Sharpe is controlling well.
Sharpe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sharpe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Joe's head. Joe is looking to control Sharpe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Joe avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe wants to get back to full guard. Sharpe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sharpe seems to be looking for submissions.
Joe avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sharpe. Sharpe prevents Joe from standing back up.
Joe taking some punishment here, with Sharpe in his half guard. Nice strikes from Sharpe there. Sharpe lands strikes from half guard. Joe tries to kick Sharpe off but Sharpe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Sharpe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Joe defending well though. Joe avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sharpe. Sharpe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joe trying to control from the bottom.
Joe wants to get back to full guard. Joe keeping control of the position. Joe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sharpe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Joe pushes Sharpe off but Sharpe dives into side control.
Sharpe lands a nice forearm strike. Joe tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Sharpe presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Joe looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe tries to hold on but Sharpe pushes him away. Sharpe working away from the top, dropping strikes. Sharpe connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sharpe with a couple of short strikes. Sharpe with the ground and pound from mount. Sharpe putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Joe is rocked!
It looks like George I Joe has been cut. Sharpe looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Joe covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
