Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jonathan Brady has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jonathan Brady seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brady throws a body kick that misses.
Richards tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brady swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Brady darts in and clinches Richards up against the cage.

Brady breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brady throws a head kick but Richards moves out of range.
Brady slips under a jab from Richards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Richards swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Richards takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Richards moves in looking to clinch but Brady pushes him off.

The fight stays on the outside here - Brady looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brady is looking to land body kicks.
Richards changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Brady fails to land with a series of punches.
Brady looks to land a body kick but Richards moved away.

Brady throws a sloppy head kick and Richards moves out of range easily.
Richards tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Brady fails with an attempt to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Brady lands a body punch.
Brady will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Richards up against the cage.

Richards turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Richards manages to end up in side control.
Brady is looking for a sweep.
Richards working the ground and pound but Brady is defending the strikes.
Richards throws an elbow but Brady slips to the side and avoids it well.

Richards works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brady is working to avoid the ground and pound but Richards connects with a decent elbow.
Brady tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Richards wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Richards postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Brady wants to control but Richards postures up.
Richards has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Richards creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
You can see the frustration on Brady's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Brady could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Brady is breathing heavily.
Richards cracks Brady with a big right hand but Brady just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Brady is rocked!

Richards has hold of Brady's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Brady seems comfortable defending it but Richards has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Brady is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Brady is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Richards couldn't care less - he's delighted!
