Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Drew Branch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hendrix Erlanderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erlanderson has chosen Voodoo Chile as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Hendrix Erlanderson struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Drew Branch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hendrix Erlanderson! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Branch takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Branch moves out of range of the body kick. A combination from Branch does no damage. Branch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Branch throws a head kick that misses. Erlanderson fails in his attempt to clinch. Branch misses the shot to the body. Branch throws a head kick that misses. Erlanderson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Erlanderson blocks a head kick by Branch.
Branch tries to bum rush Erlanderson with a series of wild strikes but Erlanderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Erlanderson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Erlanderson wants to clinch up but Branch keeps it at a distance. Branch swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Erlanderson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Branch misses with a combination
and Erlanderson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Erlanderson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Branch wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Erlanderson stalls. Erlanderson gets control of Branch's arms and successfully pulls guard. Erlanderson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Erlanderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Branch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Branch tries to free his leg and advance position but Erlanderson is retaining full guard. Erlanderson wants to control the position but Branch says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Erlanderson looks gassed! Branch is looking for a kimura here.
Branch is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Erlanderson wants to get back to full guard. Branch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Erlanderson defends it well. Erlanderson keeping control of the position. Erlanderson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Erlanderson kicks Branch off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Branch throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Erlanderson counters by clinching up. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Branch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Branch throws a right hand that Erlanderson ducks under and follows up with a left that Erlanderson also avoids with ease. Nice shot lands for Branch. Branch misses with a head kick.
A combination from Branch does no damage. Branch scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Erlanderson throws a sloppy head kick and Branch counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Erlanderson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Erlanderson clinches up with Branch and pushes him back against the cage. Branch is trying to break the clinch but Erlanderson has him pressed against the cage. Erlanderson wants a takedown but no success here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Erlanderson. Erlanderson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Branch backwards. Branch wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Erlanderson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Erlanderson stalling.
Branch goes for a takedown attempt but Erlanderson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Erlanderson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Branch can pounce on him.
Drew Branch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Erlanderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Erlanderson showed some decent athleticism there. Erlanderson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Branch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hendrix Erlanderson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Branch takes a shot to the head. Branch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Branch pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Drew Branch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Erlanderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Branch swats him away and circles back towards the center. Good work by Erlanderson as he checks the leg kick. Erlanderson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Erlanderson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Erlanderson keeps control of Branch as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Branch is trying to trip Erlanderson. He has hold of a leg but Erlanderson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Branch persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Branch has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Erlanderson is proving hard to escape from. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Erlanderson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Erlanderson has his feet on Branch's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Branch misses with a double jab
and Erlanderson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Branch! Branch is trying to reverse the position but instead Erlanderson has taken his back - oops! Erlanderson trying to control momentarily.
Erlanderson is trying to stick to Branch's back but Branch is turning into Erlanderson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Erlanderson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Branch. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Erlanderson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Branch manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Erlanderson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Erlanderson is trying to get back to full guard. Erlanderson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Erlanderson working for a triangle but Branch defends it easily.
Erlanderson has control of Branch's left arm, preventing Branch from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erlanderson lands an upkick as Branch stands over him. Branch looking to pass the guard. Erlanderson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Branch is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Erlanderson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Branch's back instead. Branch is in bad spot here.
Erlanderson connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Branch to escape the position.
Erlanderson lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Erlanderson.
Erlanderson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Branch has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Branch trying to control the action but Erlanderson just sinks the hooks in.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Erlanderson scores with punches to the body. Branch wants to control his opponent's hands but Erlanderson gets his hands free. Erlanderson lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Branch.

The crowd cheers as Branch lands an impressive looking overhand right. Erlanderson doesn't seem phased though. Erlanderson doesn't manage to clinch there - Branch circles away.
Branch throws a right and a left that Erlanderson avoids nicely. A jab from Branch finds it's way through Erlanderson's defenses. Branch misses with a double jab.
Erlanderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Branch, pushing him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Erlanderson prevents Branch from breaking the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Erlanderson misses with some punches.
Erlanderson gets through Branch's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Branch wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Erlanderson keeps control of Branch as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Branch is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Erlanderson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Branch has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Erlanderson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Erlanderson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Erlanderson jumps guard but Branch stands there with Erlanderson around his waist. Erlanderson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Erlanderson. Erlanderson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Branch is keeping busy. Branch is trying to break the clinch but Erlanderson has him pressed against the cage. Branch can't break the clinch.
Branch is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Erlanderson taking a breather. Erlanderson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Branch prevents it.

Erlanderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Branch is one step ahead there. Erlanderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Branch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Branch drops back looking for a leg! Erlanderson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Erlanderson manages to kick Branch off! Branch jumps back into Erlanderson's guard. Erlanderson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Branch wants to control from the top but Erlanderson keeps moving. Branch wants to pass the guard but Erlanderson is keeping the position. Branch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Branch trying to control the position from guard on top but Erlanderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Erlanderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Branch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Erlanderson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Erlanderson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Branch manages to pass to side control. Erlanderson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Branch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Branch's back! Branch covers up after that shot from Erlanderson.
Branch tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Drew Branch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Erlanderson tries to control but Branch wriggling away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Branch keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hendrix Erlanderson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Erlanderson content just to control the position here.
