Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matty Markos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patches Meech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Meech's choice of entrance music: shear it maybe. Patches Meech will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meech swinging wildly here.
Meech tests Markos's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Meech avoids the body shot from Markos.
Markos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Meech tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Markos closes the distance and clinches.

Meech gets caught napping as Markos dives in and scores a takedown. Meech manages to retain guard.
Markos is standing up over Meech. Meech looks to escape but Markos dives into side control.

Markos tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Meech really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Markos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Markos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Meech, who protects the arm well.
Markos throws an elbow but Meech slips to the side and avoids it well.

Markos tries to score with some ground and pound. Meech controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Meech is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Markos asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Markos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Markos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close round but I would say that Matty Markos will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Markos creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A very excited looking Patches Meech rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
In defeat, Matty Markos stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will be back this is only the begining'.
