Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paddy Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kan Budo! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Budo darts in and clinches Walker up against the ropes. Walker lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Walker lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Walker is trying to break free. Budo blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Walker lands with a light punch inside. Walker tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Budo's elbow. Walker avoids a wild elbow strike from Budo. Budo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Budo misses with a knee to the head. Budo blocks a body shot from Walker. Budo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Budo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Walker. Walker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Walker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Budo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Walker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Budo forces Walker back against the ropes and clinches. Walker can't find room to land a body shot as Budo controls the action.
Budo trying to control the position but instead, Walker has worked for underhooks and has pushed Budo into the ropes. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Walker cracks Budo with a nice body shot. Budo looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Walker's face as he tries to break the clinch. Budo pushes off an throws an elbow but Walker leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes. Walker works on Budo's body with a couple of short punches. Walker throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Budos head. Walker struggles to land a body shot inside as Budo controls his hands.
Walker pushes Budo back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. Walker presses Budo against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A right hook to the body lands for Walker.
A short right from Walker on the inside. Walker works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Walker lands a body shot. Walker working hard to break the clinch. Walker manages to break the clinch.
Walker misses with an uppercut. Nice defenses there by Budo. Walker misses with a looping right. Budo missing with a left hand there. Walker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Walker scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Walker shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Budo takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Walker sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Budo bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
