Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marciano Habibi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Banana Fly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fly keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Marciano Habibi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Habibi wants to clinch. Habibi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Habibi. Fly fails with a takedown attempt. Habibi moves into range and clinches up with Fly. Habibi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marciano Habibi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fly drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Fly has hold of one of Habibi's legs. Habibi is fighting the takedown attempt but Fly gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Fly wants to stand but Habibi is controlling his posture from full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Habibi keeping moving, preventing Fly from controlling successfully. Habibi throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Fly would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Habibi throws a one two combo.
It looks like Banana Fly has been cut. Fly shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Fly clinches up with Habibi and pushes him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Habibi goes for a takedown attempt but Fly pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Habibi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fly holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Habibi jumps guard but Fly stands there with Habibi around his waist. Habibi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Fly escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Habibi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fly as he jumps to the side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Habibi. Habibi is breathing heavily. Fly stuffs the takedown. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fly connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Habibi momentarily.
Habibi thows a body shot but no joy. Habibi tries for a takedown but Fly sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Habibi prevents the takedown attempt.
Fly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Habibi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fly gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Habibi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fly smiles and moves away.
Habibi shoots in looking for a takedown. Fly tries to sprawl out of it but Habibi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fly clinches with his opponent.
Fly is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Fly tries for a takedown. No joy.

Fly is trying to drag Habibi to the mat but Habibi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Fly breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fly with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Habibi to score with a decent uppercut. Habibi scores with a sloppy right hand. Fly should have avoided that one. Nice uppercut lands for Habibi. That snapped Fly's head back.
Fly circles away from the clinch attempt and Fly counters with a nice uppercut. Habibi fails with the takedown. Fly keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fly drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Habibi wants to control but Fly postures up. Habibi striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Marciano Habibi will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Banana Fly's cut. That's time! Habibi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Habibi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fly counters with a nice double leg into side control. Habibi won't be happy with that. Habibi wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Fly controls the position. Habibi is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Fly is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Habibi pushes down on Fly's leg and manages to get into half guard. Fly is trying to stand up here but Habibi is controlling him well. Fly wants to control but Habibi is keeping busy and won't allow it. Habibi is trying to control the action in half guard but Fly is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Habibi lands strikes from half guard. Habibi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Habibi drops an elbow to the side of Fly's head. Fly is staying active underneath Habibi, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Habibi wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fly fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Habibi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fly darts in and clinches Habibi up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Banana Fly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Banana Fly's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

That's going to take a lot out of Banana Fly. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Habibi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Habibi wants to stand but Fly is controlling the position. Fly content to stall in guard here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Habibi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Habibi has his foot on Fly's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fly works his way back into a safe position though. Habibi throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Habibi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fly is one step ahead there. Habibi controls Fly momentarily but Fly frees himself. Habibi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Habibi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Habibi working a defensive guard here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fly has Habibi up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fly breaks from the clinch.
Habibi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fly but Fly pushes him off and we're back to square one. Fly shoots for a takedown but Habibi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Habibi has his takedown stuffed and Fly counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Fly pulls Habibi into guard.
Habibi thows a big elbow that misses. Fly pulls Habibi in close to his closed guard and prevents Habibi from doing any damage or advancing position. Habibi throws a big right hand that misses.
