Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaq Auguste (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Mat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mat keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Auguste.
Auguste throws a series of punches but Mat moves out of range.

Peter Mat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mat shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Auguste as he avoids it easily.

Auguste wants to get up but he can't break Mat's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mat shoots in and bounces Auguste off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
You can see the frustration on Auguste's face as Mat controls the position.

Mat is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Auguste's shoulder. That is not cool.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jaq Auguste will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Peter Mat.
