Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaq Auguste (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Mat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jaq Auguste! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Mat! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mat keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Auguste. Auguste throws a series of punches but Mat moves out of range. Danga de danga de dang - Auguste scores with a four punch combination! Peter Mat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mat shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Auguste as he avoids it easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Auguste. Mat throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Auguste dives in and scores a takedown into Mat's guard. Auguste wants to stand but Mat has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Auguste has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mat is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Auguste stands up from guard. Let's bang! Mat shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Auguste as he avoids it easily. Auguste throws a big counter combination but Mat scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Auguste scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Auguste tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mat controls his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Auguste is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Mat manages to get to full guard. Auguste trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mat's guard. Auguste trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Mat pulls Auguste in close to prevent any damage. Mat has a closed guard, preventing Auguste from standing up. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mat pulls Auguste in close to his closed guard and prevents Auguste from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mat takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Auguste on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Mat misses with a takedown attempt - Auguste sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. It looked like Auguste wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Jaq Auguste has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Mat. Auguste fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mat, pushing him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Auguste is looking to break free of the clinch but Mat has double underhooks. Auguste breaks from the clinch.
Auguste throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Auguste will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Auguste throws a wild body kick that Mat sees coming a mile off. Mat shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Auguste counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Auguste wants to get up but he can't break Mat's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jaq Auguste dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mat looks for a takedown but Auguste sprawls well. Auguste drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mat sprawls and moves away. Mat shoots in and bounces Auguste off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mat won't allow Auguste to get back to his feet. Auguste is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mat can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mat sitting in guard, not really doing much. Mat is standing up over Auguste. Auguste looks to escape but Mat dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mat working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mat is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Peter Mat has got the better of the ground game so far. Auguste wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. You can see the frustration on Auguste's face as Mat controls the position. Auguste is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mat has just dragged him back down to the mat. Mat is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Auguste's shoulder. That is not cool. Auguste is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mat is controlling him well. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Mat trying to control the action but Auguste is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Auguste displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mat. Mat is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mat shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Auguste manages to escape and get back to his feet! Nice sprawl there from Auguste as Mat shoots in. Jaq Auguste has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Mat. Mat is breathing heavily. Auguste gets a double leg takedown into Mat's guard. Mat has a closed guard, preventing Auguste from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mat wants to stand and escape but Auguste is having none of it. Auguste has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mat is proving hard to escape from. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jaq Auguste will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mat has taken his back! Auguste is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Mat won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. No joy there for Auguste, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Auguste feinted with a counter takedown. Mat tries to close the distance and clinch up but Auguste swats him away and circles back towards the center. It looked like Auguste was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mat fails with a takedown attempt. As Mat looks to move away, Auguste throws a big counter combo but Mat just gets out of the way. Auguste gets caught flat footed, as Mat shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Auguste manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mat shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Auguste as he jumps to the side. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Auguste misses with the combination.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Peter Mat. I think Auguste has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
