Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Mousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross El Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ross El Diaz enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ahmed Mousa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ross El Diaz! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! El Diaz shoots in and bounces Mousa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. El Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Mousa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. El Diaz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. El Diaz is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. El Diaz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Mousa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mousa is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because El Diaz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. El Diaz scoring with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. El Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. El Diaz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mousa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. El Diaz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mousa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mousa has escaped and now he's on top! Mousa wants to stand but El Diaz has a closed guard, so he can't escape. El Diaz has his foot on Mousa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mousa works his way back into a safe position though. El Diaz is trying to keep Mousa in close.
Mousa won't allow El Diaz to sweep him here. Mousa looking to sit in guard and control but El Diaz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mousa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
El Diaz stands up over Mousa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. El Diaz lands a couple of decent looking shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. El Diaz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells El Diaz's corner. There ya go! There ya go! El Diaz postures up.
Mousa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. El Diaz is aware though and is defending well. El Diaz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. El Diaz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mousa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of El Diaz, into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. El Diaz looking for a sweep. Not yet El Diaz, not yet. El Diaz is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. El Diaz tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mousa trying to control the position from guard on top but El Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mousa is looking to work some ground and pound but El Diaz has wrist control. El Diaz wants to sweep but no luck. Mousa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. El Diaz is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mousa rolls with it to try and escape but El Diaz cranks on the arm and Mousa is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
