Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Butch Grenier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Grenier might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to the hammer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Butch Grenier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kimbo Slice! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slice lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Slice moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Grenier takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Grenier forces Slice back against the cage and clinches. Slice works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Slice controlling the action here for a moment.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Slice takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A short body shot lands from Slice as the two fighters clinch.
Slice working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Slice works on Grenier's body with a couple of short punches. Grenier tries for a takedown but Slice manages to get underhooks.

Slice lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Grenier or not.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slice has Grenier pushed against the cage. Slice lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Slice tries to work over Grenier's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Slice fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Slice misses with a short punch on the inside. Grenier goes for a takedown attempt but Slice pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Slice lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Slice scores with a sloppy right hand. Grenier should have avoided that one. Grenier drives through with a takedown into Slice's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Slice has Grenier pulled in close to control his posture. Slice really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grenier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Grenier tries to free his leg and advance position but Slice is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grenier throws a big right hand that misses. Slice is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Slice tries to land a sweep but no joy. Grenier wants to control from the top but Slice keeps moving. Slice keeping full guard, as Grenier tries to pass. Grenier throws a big right hand that misses. Grenier works over Slice with some ground and pound from guard. Grenier trying to control the position from guard on top but Slice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Slice looking to sweep here. No luck so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grenier looking to sit in guard and control but Slice gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slice slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've been informed that Slice has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Grenier wants to get back to his feet but Slice is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Slice looking to sit in guard and control but Grenier gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Grenier being controlled here momentarily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Slice avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Slice looking for a sweep. Not yet Slice, not yet. Grenier keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Slice's head. Grenier tries to free his leg and advance position but Slice is retaining full guard. Slice avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slice can do anything to dispel that myth. Grenier postures up and lands a big shot to Slice's brow. Grenier lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Grenier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Slice is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Grenier is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Grenier connects with a couple of short punches. Grenier tries to free his leg and advance position but Slice is retaining full guard. Grenier trying to control the position from guard on top but Slice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Grenier being controlled here momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kimbo Slice dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Slice blocks a low kick nicely. No luck with that takedown attempt from Grenier. Slice tries to clinch but Grenier moves out of range. Slice throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Grenier stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Slice keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Slice lands a really nice looking cross but Grenier seems unphased.
Nice shot lands for Slice. Slice lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grenier shoots and misses and Slice counters with a lovely straight right hand! Slice lands a head shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Slice has closed the distance and engaged Grenier in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Slice. Slice stops a takedown attempt from Grenier.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Butch Grenier. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grenier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Slice fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Grenier tries to move into range but Slice moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Grenier darts in looking for a takedown but Slice gets double underhooks and turns Grenier into the cage. Slice connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Grenier takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Grenier seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Grenier throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kimbo Slice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Grenier takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Slice lands a nice shot that snaps Grenier's head back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Slice clinches up with Grenier and pushes him back against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Slice. Grenier tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Slice just stands there and leans against the cage. Slice lands with a right to the head. Grenier wants a takedown but no success here.

Slice lands with a light punch inside. A head punch on the inside from Slice fails to land. Grenier lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Grenier is thwarting Slice's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slice is controlling Grenier's position as best he can from this difficult position. Slice is looking to improve his position.
Slice is controlling Grenier's trapped leg to prevent Grenier from advancing to side control. Grenier not landing any meaningful shots this time. Slice is trying to control but can't.
Grenier frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Grenier in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Slice tries to reverse the position but Grenier maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grenier is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Slice can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slice is working to get back to half guard.
Slice has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Slice takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Grenier with a couple of short strikes. Grenier trying to control but Slice is having none of it. Grenier with shots to the head and body - Slice looks very uncomfortable down there. Grenier looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Grenier working for a guillotine from mount but Slice is in no mood to give up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kimbo Slice showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Slice lands with a nice combination. Grenier backs away looking to recover. Grenier tries for a takedown but Slice circles away easily and Slice counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A jab from Slice does it's job there. Grenier takes a body punch but keeps moving. Slice scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Grenier doesn't seem bothered though. Grenier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Slice sprawls well. Slice wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grenier gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slice throws a wild body kick that Grenier sees coming a mile off. Slice keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slice throws a leg kick but Grenier sees it coming and moves out of range. Slice throws the kick towards the body but Grenier avoids it. Grenier closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Grenier is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Slice knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Slice can't do much from the bottom here. Grenier postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Grenier trying to control the action but Slice is working from the bottom. Grenier tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Grenier swings around for an armbar but Slice sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Grenier's guard. Grenier working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Slice doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Slice manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slice is looking to stand up but Grenier won't let him. Slice trying to control the position from guard on top but Grenier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Grenier wants to stand and escape but Slice is having none of it. Slice pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Grenier is keeping the position for now. Grenier wants to sweep but no luck. Slice trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Slice controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Grenier is trying to keep Slice in close.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Grenier takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
And that's the end of the fight! Kimbo Slice comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Slice winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
