The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valyras shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Valencia is trying to defend but Valyras finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Valencia has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Valyras is on him like a limpet, forcing Valencia back against the cage.
