The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volchenko has managed to clinch.
Volchenko lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Owen or not.
Owen drags the fight down to the ground.
Owen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Volchenko defends well.
Volchenko lands a couple of digs.
Owen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Volchenko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Owen keeping moving, preventing Volchenko from controlling successfully.
Owen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Owen working for a triangle but Volchenko defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Owen is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Volchenko rolls with it to try and escape but Owen cranks on the arm and Volchenko is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
