The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serrano pushes Rodriguez up against the cage in a clinch.
Serrano pulls guard.
Rodriguez looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Rodriguez is in close to Serrano's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Rodriguez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodriguez slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Rodriguez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Serrano manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rodriguez has Serrano in his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Serrano is sitting in close to Rodriguez 's body. Rodriguez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Serrano is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Serrano is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rodriguez .
