A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheehan Jr lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sheehan Jr misses with a hook.
No joy there for Shifty, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shifty takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sheehan Jr scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Shifty takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Shifty tries to land a front kick but Sheehan Jr steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sheehan Jr lands with a kick to the ribs.

Shifty will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sheehan Jr connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shifty. Shifty circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Sheehan Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shifty looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Shifty throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sheehan Jr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Shifty throws a nice looking combination but Sheehan Jr bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Shifty has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sheehan Jr finds it's way round the side to connect with Shifty's head.

Sheehan Jr steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Shifty is out on his feet! Sheehan Jr sets himself and nearly takes Shifty's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
