Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boy Cop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Boyle has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexander Boyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boy Cop!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyle dodges the punch combination from Cop.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Boyle can't break the clinch.

Boyle drags the fight down to the ground.
Cop trying to control but Boyle is working from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boyle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Boyle's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Cop shoots in and bounces Boyle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Boyle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Boyle has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Cop must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Boyle seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Cop throws a sloppy head kick and Boyle moves out of range easily.

Boyle drives through with a takedown into Cop's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Cop escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boyle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cop looks to land a body kick but Boyle moved away.

Cop shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boyle is trying to defend but Cop finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Boy Cop has got the better of the ground game so far.

Cop can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Boyle is looking to escape.

Boyle is squirming around, avoiding Cop's attempts to control the action.

Cop throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Boyle bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Cop has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Boyle is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Boyle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cop works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cop is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Boyle tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Cop is looking to regain half guard here but Boyle keeps moving and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Boyle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cop with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Boyle wants to work for an arm triangle but Cop is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Cop should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alexander Boyle will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Boyle is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cop is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Boyle to the mat. Boyle regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Boyle wants to get back to his feet but Cop is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Cop slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Boyle has control of Cop's left arm, preventing Cop from doing any damage.
Boyle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cop manages to get himself to full guard.

Boyle keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cop's head.

Boyle is in close to Cop's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Boyle chips away with some ground and pound.
Cop has momentary wrist control but Boyle slips an elbow through the middle.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Boyle's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Cop wants to stand up but Boyle is controlling him.
Boyle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cop takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Boyle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Cop looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Boyle puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Boyle seems to be looking for submissions.
Ground and pound from Boyle.
Cop is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Boyle is trying to work for a kimura but Cop is defending well.
Boyle lands strikes from half guard.

Cop has hold of Boyle's hands but Boyle slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
