Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Winston Churchill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Beattie! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beattie misses with a lunging right hand
and Churchill connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Churchill on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Churchill has taken the fight to the clinch.
Beattie told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Stalling in the clinch from Beattie.
Beattie swings wildly with an uppercut but Churchill uses good head movement to avoid it. Churchill tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Churchill. Churchill works on Beattie's body with a couple of short punches. Churchill lands a nice uppercut. Churchill lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Beattie or not. Beattie scores with an uppercut up the middle. Beattie tries for a takedown. No joy.
Beattie lands with a short head shot on the inside. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Churchill. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A short body shot lands from Churchill as the two fighters clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Churchill lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Beattie backwards. Churchill fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Churchill scores with a shoulder strike. Churchill misses with a short punch on the inside. Beattie stalling in the clinch but Churchill improves position. Churchill lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Churchill misses with a punch to the body.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Churchill creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Churchill goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Winston Churchill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beattie keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Beattie scores with a head kick.
Beattie slips under a jab. Churchill looks to score with a jab to the body but Beattie is just out of range. Beattie throws a low kick, looking for Churchill's leg but Churchill calmly moves out of range. Beattie stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Churchill tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Beattie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Churchill definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Churchill tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Churchill scores with a push kick. Beattie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Beattie looks to score with a jab to the body but Churchill is just out of range. Churchill has Beattie up against the cage in a clinch.
Beattie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Winston Churchill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Churchill dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Beattie. That did some damage! Churchill wants to clinch. A right-left combo lands from Churchill. Beattie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Churchill slips under a jab from Beattie. Beattie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Churchill throws out the jab. Good work by Beattie as he checks the leg kick. Beattie throws a right hand that misses

Beattie is rocked! Churchill measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Beattie! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
