Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marios Kaperoinis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marios Kaperoinis!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kaperoinis lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Miller shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kaperoinis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kaperoinis has momentary wrist control but Miller slips an elbow through the middle.
Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaperoinis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Miller is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kaperoinis is trying to control the position but Miller postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller wants to pass the guard but Kaperoinis is keeping the position.
Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Kaperoinis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller pushes down on Kaperoinis's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Miller wants to free his trapped foot but Kaperoinis is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Miller frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Miller is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Miller extends the arm and Kaperoinis is forced to tap!

Steve Miller opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
