Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Earl Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rin Obuzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rin Obuzuki will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Earl Dunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rin Obuzuki! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obuzuki throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Obuzuki looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Obuzuki fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Obuzuki drives through and clinches with Dunn against the cage.
Dunn breaks the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Dunn. No joy for Obuzuki on that attempt. Dunn half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Dunn moves into the clinch. Dunn has clasped his hands together around Obuzuki's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Obuzuki wants to get back to his feet but Dunn is dominant here and he's now got Obuzuki's back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Obuzuki is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Obuzuki won't enjoy being in this position. Dunn looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Obuzuki is tapping - it's over boys! Dunn picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Earl Dunn!
