Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Brouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick Brouse told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fred Moore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Brouse! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore throws a right hand that Brouse ducks under and follows up with a left that Brouse also avoids with ease. Moore takes the fight into the clinch. Brouse is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Brouse pulls guard effortlessly. Brouse wants to stand and escape but Moore is having none of it. Moore scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Moore drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moore jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Moore controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Moore won't allow Brouse to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moore makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Moore with a nice head shot there. Moore sitting in guard, not really doing much. Moore postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moore is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brouse is on top in guard.
Brouse must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Moore wants to stand up but Brouse is controlling him. Moore controlling Brouse's posture. Moore pushes Brouse off and scrambles back to his feet.
Brouse doesn't manage to clinch there - Moore circles away.
Moore throws a quick inside leg kick. Moore could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moore dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brouse. That did some damage! Moore clinches. Moore is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Moore breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Brouse scores with a takedown into Moore's guard. Moore has his feet on Brouse's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Brouse looks winded! This has been an exciting period of action! Moore is looking to slow Brouse down with leg kicks. Brouse is looking to clinch but Moore is avoiding it.
Moore closes the distance and clinches. Moore is pushing Brouse up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Moore has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Brouse clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Moore loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Brouse hold on?
Moore landing with strikes. Moore controlling the position well here. Brouse rolled but Moore kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Moore is punishing Brouse with some ground and pound. Brouse trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Moore has good solid back control here. Brouse is trying to remain composed but Moore is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Moore keeps control of the position easily here as Brouse tries to buck him off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moore throwing damaging strikes from the back! Brouse could be in trouble here!

Fred Moore dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Brouse. Moore manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brouse's best efforts. Moore wants to get back to full guard. Moore manages to escape and get back to his feet! Moore's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Moore duly obliges.
It looks like Patrick Brouse has been cut. Moore throws a head kick that misses. Moore lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A head kick by Brouse misses and Moore counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Moore closes the distance and clinches. Moore's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brouse is breathing heavily. Moore throws a head kick that misses. Brouse lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Brouse throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Moore tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brouse is in Moore's guard. Moore has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Brouse has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Fred Moore is winning the standup battle so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moore dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brouse. That did some damage! Brouse tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moore swats him away and circles back towards the center. Moore misses with a head kick.

Moore fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brouse has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Moore closes the distance and lands a one-two. The fight stays on the outside here - Brouse looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Moore half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore has managed to clinch.

Moore is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brouse can do to turn this around? Moore breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Moore connects with a high kick. Brouse misses with a kick to the body and Moore counters with a left and a right that stings Brouse. Moore lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Moore throws a sloppy head kick and Brouse moves out of range easily. Brouse chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Moore can pounce on him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Moore scoring well with a low kick there.
A right-left combo lands from Moore. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brouse. Moore throws a head kick that half lands.
Moore connects with a leg kick. Brouse looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Moore lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Moore lands with a kick to the ribs.

Moore throws a nice looking combination but Brouse bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Brouse tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Moore throws a wild body kick that Brouse sees coming a mile off. Brouse closes the distance looking to clinch and Moore counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Brouse is lucky that one didn't land flush. Brouse takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Brouse drives through with a takedown into Moore's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Moore is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Brouse presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moore darts in and clinches Brouse up against the cage. Moore has clasped his hands together around Brouse's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Moore sneaks out the side door and pushes Brouse away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Moore avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Moore is looking to counter the offense by Brouse and move into the clinch. Moore pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brouse back to the cage. Moore follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. A left and a right from Moore both land. Nice combination. Moore scores with a three punch combo!

And that's the end of the fight! Fred Moore showed his dominance in that final round. Well Moore has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
