The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vogelo clinches up with Mccarthy and pushes him back against the cage.
Mccarthy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vogelo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Vogelo clinches with his opponent.
Vogelo jumps guard.
Vogelo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Vogelo is looking for a triangle but Mccarthy pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mccarthy wants to control from the top but Vogelo keeps moving.
Vogelo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mccarthy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vogelo on the ground.

Mccarthy is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Vogelo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mccarthy is looking to defend but Vogelo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mccarthy! Vogelo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mccarthy taps out and this one is all over!
