Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jay Kush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Samuel David! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kush pushes David off looking to stand but David dives back in and keeps control.
Kush has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. David is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Kush keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. David performing his best blanket impression for a moment. David throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kush wants to get back to his feet. David not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. David is pressing down on Kush's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kush is holding on for now.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kush lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but David circles away quickly and effectively. David looking for a takedown here - he's got it. David stops Kush from standing up. David throwing strikes but missing. David pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kush is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. David is stalling in the full guard. David throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kush works some decent striking defense from the bottom. David slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. David throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kush tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. David is in Kush's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. David sitting in guard, not really doing much. It looks like David might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Kush wants to stand and escape but David is having none of it. David content to stall in guard here. Kush wants to stand but David is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. David throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kush works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. David showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. David moves into the clinch successfully.
David escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! David misses with a wild combination.
Kush swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samuel David dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
David throws a body kick that misses and Kush counters with a lovely shot to the body. David walks into a jab. Kush cracks David with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! David looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kush finish him?
David is rocked!
It looks like Samuel David has been cut. Samuel David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. David throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kush throws a nice looking combination but David bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kush bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps David's head backwards. David is still on wobbly legs! Can Kush finish him? David throws a low kick, looking for Kush's leg but Kush calmly moves out of range. David seems to have recovered his senses. David drives through with a takedown into Kush's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. David won't allow Kush to get back to his feet. David not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. David trying to control but Kush is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kush wants to stand but David is controlling the position. Kush keeping moving, preventing David from controlling successfully. David controls from within his opponent's guard. Kush knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for David on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. David gets a takedown into half guard. Kush is not content to let David control the position. David tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Kush. Samuel David has got the better of the ground game so far. Kush wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, David seems content to control. Kush is not content to let David control the position. David missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kush is in trouble now - David has advanced to mount! Kush somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Kush lands a right hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. David takes one to the side of the head.
Kush lands a straight punch to the body, keeping David at a distance.
David is breathing heavily. Kush lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A low kick from David is predictable there and David takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jay Kush is winning the standup battle so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kush sends David crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kush is motioning to the referee to let David up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Kush throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent David stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kush is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches David flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! David is out cold! Kush holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jay Kush! Our winner, Jay Kush, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
